World Scholars Cup 2024 – Regional Round
The Ljubljana regional round of the World Scholars Cup, which was held from the 23rd to 24th March, was attended by approximately 200 students from all across Slovenia, and bore incredible results for our school’s delegation.
Gimnazija Vič was represented by Filip Strahinič, Jan Šuštar, Tara Valentina Kezele, Zala Iza Šuklje Schweiger, Naomi Kuan Oven, Klemen Javoršek, Katarina Adam, Katja Dobrišek, and Maks Leon Rogelj. For the purpose of the competition, they were divided up into three groups. They competed in team debate, creative writing, a team quiz, and a multiple choice exam about numerous different topics.
All of our school’s delegates received awards across different categories and qualified for the Global Round of the World Scholars Cup. Team 368 (Katarina Adam, Katja Dobrišek, and Maks Leon Rogelj) received the highest number of points in the competition and were named as the champions of the Ljubljana regional round.
