Erasmus+ school visit – Germany 2025

During the third week of September 2025, we were delighted to welcome a delegation of teachers and students from our Erasmus+ partner school, Gymnasium Martinum Emsdetten in Germany.

We had a range of activities organised to make sure they made the most of their time with us. From presentations to cooking sessions, there was something to cover all interests.

One of the highlights was a presentation and discussion with some of our students regarding the differences between the school systems in Germany and Slovenia. With early mornings, school lunch menus, and much more besides as topics for interaction, we all learned a lot about the little differences that make our schools special.

Another activity that got a lot of good feedback was the opportunity for the visiting students to bake some traditional Slovenian bread under the supervision of our school’s canteen cooking team. The session ended with their chance to enjoy eating what they had produced alongside some other Slovenian delicacies.

With things organised both inside and outside the school, we were pleased to hear such good reports from everyone involved. We very much look forward to further cooperation between our schools in the time ahead.
