Ideas Workshops 2026
On 29th January, Gimnazija Vič welcomed about a hundred primary school pupils for a set of special workshops after the normal school day. This was designed to give these young people more information about what school life would be like if they choose to join us as they move up to secondary-level education in September.
Across different departments, our teachers worked to give these guests the chance to experience different aspects of the extracurricular lives of our students. From physical activities in our sports department to experiments in our science labs, there was something to cater for all interests.
Our English department focused on how creativity is used both in the classroom and for extracurricular projects. The pupils who signed up for this particular group had the chance to meet some teachers and a few of our current students. They learned about how creative writing is important in many different ways and even had the chance to show off their own imaginations by planning a short story plot. An extra discussion at the end allowed them to ask their own questions and this proved very important in making sure they were confident in their knowledge of how our school works.
This event works alongside our traditional open day sessions to make sure that those who are seriously considering joining us for the next school year are able to get as much information as they need when it comes to making such an important decision in their lives. We look forward to welcoming many of these young people as they join us later in the year.
