At the start of April, a group of our students went to the Slovenian Institute for Transfusion Medicine as the successful conclusion of a blood donation campaign within Gimnazija Vič.

Since the start of the school year, students with an interest in both physics and photography have worked on a creative project linked to a new competition within Gimnazija Vič.

In the last week of February 2026, twelve students and two teachers flew to the Basque Country. The exchange was organised through the media literacy group of the Erasmus+ project at our school.

During the first week of March 2026, Gimnazija Vič hosted a group of students and teachers from Gimnazija Dubrovnik in Croatia. This was the first part of the “ZELEN uTRIP” project which is organised through the Eco-creative group of the Erasmus+ programme at our school.

Since the beginning of the school year, a group of our second-year students worked on a short video as part of the annual competition organised by the IATEFL organisation in Slovenia.

During the last week of February, a group of 2^nd Year students from Gimnazija Vič travelled to Czechia as part of the Zgodbarjenje (Storytelling) project of the Erasmus+ programme.

During the last week of February, Gimnazija Vič was delighted to host two teachers from Lycée Adam de Craponne, Salon-de-Provence, France.

On 13^th and 14^th February, our school opened its doors to welcome primary school pupils and their families as part of our annual Open Day event.

In the week leading up to Valentine’s Day, there was a special reading activity arranged in the Gimnazija Vič library.

On 29^th January, Gimnazija Vič welcomed about a hundred primary school pupils for a set of special workshops after the normal school day. This was designed to give these young people more information about what school life would be like if they choose to join us as they move up to secondary-level education in September.

Towards the end of January, we were delighted to welcome a small delegation from Prva privatna gimnazija Varaždin, Croatia.

On 21^st January, an enthusiastic audience gathered to enjoy the premiere of this year’s Musicals@Vič show.

On Monday, 12^th January, thirteen students and two teachers from Gimnazija Vič started our journey to Paris by train.

Every year, on 26^th December, Slovenia marks the proclamation of its independence referendum with a day of national holiday.

At the beginning of December, a special event was arranged that allowed everyone involved in the production of the new Gimnazija Vič school calendar to meet up and see the finished product.
